Last updated: December 15, 2024

1. Agreement to Terms

By accessing or using CollabPay, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you disagree with any part of the terms, you may not access our service.

2. Description of Service

CollabPay is a marketplace platform that connects music creators—artists, producers, vocalists, and engineers—through secure, escrow-backed transactions. We facilitate collaborations but do not employ or represent any creators on the platform.

3. User Accounts

When creating an account, you agree to:

  • Provide accurate and complete information
  • Maintain the security of your account credentials
  • Accept responsibility for all activities under your account
  • Be at least 18 years old or have parental consent
  • Not create multiple accounts for fraudulent purposes

4. Escrow and Payments

Our escrow system works as follows:

  • Clients fund projects upfront; funds are held in escrow
  • Funds are released to creators upon client approval of deliverables
  • CollabPay charges a transaction fee as stated in our pricing
  • Disputes are handled according to our dispute resolution process
  • Refunds are issued based on the specific circumstances of each case

5. User Conduct

Users agree not to:

  • Violate any laws or regulations
  • Infringe on intellectual property rights
  • Harass, abuse, or harm other users
  • Post false or misleading information
  • Attempt to circumvent our payment system
  • Use automated systems to access the platform

6. Intellectual Property

Creators retain ownership of their original work unless otherwise agreed in the project terms. By posting content on CollabPay, you grant us a license to display and distribute that content within the platform for the purpose of facilitating collaborations.

7. Dispute Resolution

In the event of a dispute between users, CollabPay will act as a neutral mediator. We review all relevant communication and documentation to reach a fair resolution. Our decision in disputes is final and binding.

8. Limitation of Liability

CollabPay is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service. Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the past 12 months.

9. Account Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms. Users may also close their accounts at any time. Upon termination, pending transactions will be processed according to their current status.

10. Changes to Terms

We may modify these terms at any time. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms. We will notify users of significant changes via email or platform notification.
